05 · The Importance of EtCO₂
Animal patient monitors are divided into basic configurations and optional EtCO₂ modules. The most direct value of the EtCO₂ module is to supplement ventilation monitoring, helping medical staff identify respiratory abnormalities during anesthesia earlier, while meeting the configuration requirements of operating rooms and intensive care units.

11 · FAQ
Typical parameters include ECG, SpO₂, noninvasive blood pressure, respiration, and temperature. Anesthesia applications also benefit from capnography to assess ventilation alongside other observations.
Suitability depends on validated species, patient size, measurement ranges, and compatible accessories. Confirm these specifications before monitoring cats, small dogs, or exotic animals.
EtCO₂ may be standard or optional, depending on the model. Confirm the module, waveform display, sampling method, and included accessories before ordering.
Use an appropriately sized cuff, correct positioning, and suitable veterinary settings. Movement and poor perfusion can affect readings, requiring reassessment or alternative measurement.
Motion and low perfusion can reduce signal reliability. Suitable probes and signal processing may help, but readings require waveform assessment and clinical interpretation.
